Cynthia Isabel Felix is a Directing Attorney on the Children’s Representation Program. Her work focuses on the most vulnerable immigrant populations in removal proceedings including direct representation for Unaccompanied Children, individuals with mental health issues as part of the Franco v. Holder class settlement, and Santa Ana residents through the Vera Institute of Justice SAFE Cities program. Currently, she directs and supports the Detained Youth Empowerment Project (DYEP) team, which is ImmDef’s provision of legal services for detained youth in custody of the Office of Refugee and Resettlement. Cynthia is champion for immigrants’ rights due to her family’s personal immigration and removal experiences.
