Aly

Supervising Deputy Attorney General at California Department of Justice

Aly Parker works at the California Department of Justice, where she supervises attorneys who represent the State in litigation related to critical health, education, and public assistance policy.  Before she became a supervisor, Aly worked as a Deputy Attorney General and served as lead trial counsel in several prominent cases, including cases defending the State’s COVID-19 response.  Aly guest lectures at USC Gould and received the 2016 Pro Bono Attorney of the Year by USC's Public Interest Law Foundation. 


Before she joined the government, Aly worked as an attorney with Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman in Los Angeles, and as in-house counsel for a prominent Japanese company in Tokyo, Japan.  In Tokyo, she held leadership positions on the Board of the Japan In-House Counsel Network, and the Women in Business Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan. Aly received her J.D. from USC Gould and her B.A. from Boston College. A Boston-area native, Aly enjoys watching the Red Sox lose all the way from her home in Los Angeles.
